3.7 RC1 Test Plan

Test Build: 3.7RC1 (I20110512-2000)
Components: Platform Search, Platform Text, JDT Text and JDT UI
Testers: Dani, Deepak, Markus, and Raksha
Platforms
Goal
- verify all bug fixes since M7
- free-style testing with focus on JDT and Text
Test items
Test selection, drag-and-drop, etc. in Table and Tree (Deepak, Markus - Questions: Markus)
DND and checkbox selection problems have been fixed on GTK and Cocoa. Look out for collateral damage.
- verify that drag-and-drop works when widget had focus and when it had not
- verify that it works as expected with checkbox widgets (e.g. Breakpoints view with Group By > *) and normal widgets
- verify that selection and mousedown events are coming promptly (ControlExample)
Free-style testing with focus on JDT and Text (All)
- work on a pet project or on a bug fix
- goal is to use as many JDT and Text features as possible
- no doc writing (since that doesn't test our features)
