[Ann] StatET 4.10.0 Release
I am pleased to announce StatET 4.10.0, a new version of the Eclipse-based IDE for the R language.
This release provides support for R 4.4 as well as several other minor improvements. Please note that Java versions lower than 21 are no longer supported as runtime environment for StatET 4.10. Details about these changes are presented here.
The new version is available for Eclipse IDE 2024-09. StatET 4.10 officially supports R 4.2 – 4.4, but other versions of R may work too.

If you want to use the advanced console (RJ) with R, you need the R package 'rj' for your R
version as before. The packages for GNU R (RJSrv4GR) are not part of the Eclipse StatET project, for installation

The R packages with version numbers 4.0.x (for RJ 4.0) are also compatible with StatET 4.10. I
recommend to update to the latest release 4.0.11, if not yet done.

This release provides improved support for R package DESCRIPTION files, as well as several other minor improvements. Details about these improvements are presented here.
The new version is available for Eclipse IDE 2023-12. StatET 4.9 officially supports R 4.1 – 4.3, but other versions of R may work too.

I am pleased to announce StatET 4.8.0, a new version of the Eclipse-based IDE for the R language.
This release provides support for R 4.3, improved support for newer versions of the Java runtime environment, as well as several other minor improvements. Please note that versions of Java lower than 17 are no longer supported as runtime environment by Eclipse IDE 2023-06 and StatET 4.8. Details about these improvements are presented here.
The new version is available for Eclipse IDE 2023-06. StatET 4.8 officially supports R 4.1 – 4.3, but other versions of R may work too.
