| Requirements (Java 11) |
Like the Eclipse IDE 2023-06, all parts of StatET 4.8 require a Java runtime environment
(JRE) version 17 or greater.
This also includes the RJ based R console in StatET. It may be necessary to update existing R Console launch configurations to use a JRE that meets the requirements. |
| R 4.3 | StatET 4.8 provides support for R 4.3 including adaptations for changes in R help and the R package manager. |

| Pipe Placeholder |
With R language 4.3, the placeholder _ for pipe expressions can also be
used experimentally as the first argument in an extraction call. This feature is
supported by the R parsers and tools in StatET too.
