Eclipse 4diac at SPS 2024 with Aimirim and Universal Automation

We are excited to share that Aimirim is representing the Eclipse 4diac project at SPS 2024 in Nuremberg, Germany! Together with UniversalAutomation.org, Aimirim is demonstrating real-world applications of our industry automation technology. At the Universal Automation booth, Aimirim showcases how their 4diac IDE plugin enables seamless deployment to the Universal Automation runtime environment, aligning with open automation standards like IEC 61499. This setup forms the backbone of Aimirim’s Industry 4.0 solutions for software-defined facilities.

Enhancements and Fixes in 4diac IDE New Features Added new functions F_NOW and F_NOW_MONOTONIC for timing. These functions return the current local date/time and monotonic clock value, respectively. Added a Build 4diac Forte Launcher. New launch configuration to build preconfigured 4diac FORTE using the cmake –build command. UI/UX Enhancements FB Network Grid now follows IEC 61499 Coordinate System Resolution. Grid resolution matches the size difference between pins, ensuring cleaner drawings and more precise FB positioning.

Enhancements and Fixes in 4diac IDE Fixes Fixed return type conversion in ST partitioner: Corrected an issue where the return type was set to ANY instead of null, causing problems during export. Fixed validation of assigned inputs from outside in ST editor. Fixed Quick-Fix to use the correct model element and ensure unsaved changes are preserved. Fixed issue where typing to invoke the new instance inserter caused the first character to be selected and overwritten.
