Eclipse 4diac at ETFA 2025

This year’s IEEE ETFA Conference in Porto started with a special highlight for the Eclipse 4diac community.

Bianca Wiesmayr delivered a keynote in the workshop “Advancing Industrial Automation: Best Practices and Innovations with IEC 61499” on:

“Building an Open-Source Infrastructure for IEC 61499 Research, Evaluation, and Standardization – 18 Years of Eclipse 4diac”

Her talk reflected on the unique journey of Eclipse 4diac — from its beginnings as a research prototype to becoming a cornerstone for open-source industrial automation, widely used in research, teaching, and industry.
