Today marks the 18th anniversary of Eclipse 4diac. On **July 23rd, 2007**, we presented 4diac for the very first time at a workshop at the *IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN)*.

Update on what development happened across the Eclipse 4diac project in the week from July 11 to July 18, 2025. The latest round of updates across Eclipse 4diac brings improvements to the BulkEditor in 4diac IDE, the inital scrolling of graphical editors, and global constant and varconfig handling. On the 4diac FORTE side, the build system was overhauled to simplify and modernize CMake usage. OPC UA support was updated to open62541 v1.4.12.

This week in Eclipse 4diac: 4diac IDE received improvements to structured text editing, including support for finding function references and searching within function editors. Updates also addressed varconfig import issues, added missing function blocks to the 3.0.0 library, and enhanced the watch view. 4diac FORTE continued work on OPC UA integration with support for standard A&C properties and improved robustness for HMI tools, along with several refactorings and compilation fixes.
