Eclipse 4diac Weekly #37

Update on what development happened across the Eclipse 4diac project in the week from May 23 to May 30, 2025. This week's Eclipse 4diac updates bring improvements to 4diac IDE including support for FunctionFBType in the FB Network interpreter, significant improvements to the Structured Text editor, and smarter monitoring and bulk editing features. On 4diac FORTE side the improvements are to store type hashes for FBs, data types, and adapters, streamlined build support with fixes for string escapes and improved CI integration, and a more flexible Generic FB architecture.

On 4diac FORTE side the improvements are better tracing, cleaner data handling, and streamlined build support with fixes for string escapes and improved CI integration.

This week's Eclipse 4diac updates bring improvements to 4diac IDE including enhanced Structured Text export, improved monitoring stability, and refined function block configuration and type library handling. On 4diac FORTE side the improvements are better modular IO integration, support for non-finite floating-point values, and modernization of internal data structures using standard C++.

This week's Eclipse 4diac updates include improvements to 4diac IDE such as improved contract editing with new properties and grammar fixes, enhanced validation for negated connections, and better support for Simple Function Blocks in the IDE. On 4diac FORTE side, code has been cleaned up by replacing temporary BOOL objects and removing unused includes.
