Install eTrice

The current eTrice release is x.x.x. You can find the release notes at the GitLab releases page.

Install in Eclipse

Recommended Eclipse version

We highly recommend using Eclipse 2025.03 or newer, due to known issues in some earlier versions of Eclipse related to the dependencies for the diagram editors.

1. Install Eclipse from the Eclipse Installer or use your preferred distribution.
2. Copy the eTrice Update Site.

   https://download.eclipse.org/etrice/x.x.x/updates
3. In your running Eclipse choose Help → Install New Software... from the menu.
   Paste the copied URL and continue with the eTrice feature selected.

Install in VSCode

1. Install VSCode from the VSCode Installer or use an existing VSCode installation.

2. Download the eTrice-vscode extension from openVSX.

3. In VSCode in the Extensions tab click on Views and more Actions... → Install from VSIX
   and select the previously downloaded eTrice-vscode extension.
